When working with a therapist I believe that a key ingredient to the success of the work is the relationship you can build together. I bring warmth, spontaneity and creativity to my work with clients and believe that the most healing part of therapy is the relationship created during this process. My approach engages the client in an exploration of their life on an intellectual, emotional and spiritual level and clients are offered space to share difficult feelings in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Whilst there is no such thing as a ‘typical’ therapy session, working with me is most likely to include conversation which warmly supports your exploration around your issues as well as helping you make sense of your behaviour in many aspects of your life. I’m a creative therapist, and will always look for ways in which we can work better together, challenging you to build a greater awareness of yourself, your world and your relationships.
As a qualified Arts Psychotherapist, I find that supporting clients to articulate their feelings through image making often leads to a much deeper understanding of issues. No previous experience or artistic skill is necessary to make use of this powerful way of working and I will fully support you in your exploration of yourself through the use of art.
Over the years I have developed a passion for delivering therapy in natural environments, and am happy to offer outdoor or walking psychotherapy sessions where there is an interest in this way of working.
Sessions last for 50 mins and are held weekly at the same time.
